I help stories
find their
people.
I’m Immaculate Auma, a communications strategist and documentary storyteller with a background in journalism. I bring people into the conversation—and help meaningful work be understood.

People first. Then the story.
01 / Selected work
Different formats.
The same human thread.
From a documentary frame to a live conversation, each project begins with a person and a reason to listen.

02 / The person & the purpose
Rooted in Uganda.
Curious about the world.
Before I tell a story,
I want to understand
the person living it.
That curiosity has taken me from journalism to documentary storytelling, from hosting conversations to supporting people as they find their voice.
At Elevate School of Mastery, I work across communications and the learning experience: listening to students, coordinating with coaches, responding to feedback and bringing conversations about public speaking, leadership and AI literacy into public spaces.
I also volunteer with MEMPROW Girls Network on Bridging Feminist Voices, coordinating communications across partner organisations. I have hosted two MEMPROW events, including a leadership handover ceremony.
My earlier work with the Climate Inclusion Network, New Vision and ILONA Children Education Centre taught me to move between formats while keeping people at the centre. Sometimes the work is a photograph. Sometimes it is a well-asked question. Sometimes it is following up, again, so someone feels supported enough to continue.
First-Class Honours in Journalism, Media & Communication, Uganda Christian University (2024). Completing master’s studies in African Studies at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, expected March 2027. Trained with Cameras for Girls.

Planned pilot · In developmentSisters
Circle.
Ambition deserves a circle
that helps it become action.
I’m developing a space for women to reflect honestly, set meaningful goals and keep showing up for themselves and each other.
A small circle. A longer horizon.
The proposed pilot begins with 12 women over 12 weeks. The hope is that the support each woman receives will eventually inform how she supports others. That ripple is the ambition; it is not an outcome already achieved.
Reflection, followed by a real next step.
Two proposed touchpoints each week: a live reflection and goal-setting session, then a WhatsApp check-in. Accountability partners would help each woman turn her intentions into manageable actions.
Build the structure with care.
Session design, facilitation support and a practical accountability structure are still being developed. I’m seeking learning and collaboration. Recruitment and a launch date are not confirmed.
Proposed structure, not enrolment or results.
The programme has not launched.
04 / Keep the conversation going
What could we
make possible?
I’m interested in communications, storytelling and community-engagement opportunities where African perspectives, women’s voices and meaningful public conversations have room to grow.
